What does the smell of blood mean? How can we experience space and place with our bodies, or understand the sound of a tram? Conference presentation on multisensory teaching
27.10.2019
Multisensory learning for the humanities! Together with our colleague Helena Holgersson, Cultural sciences, we shared examples from our multisensory teaching at the HKG 2019 (Conference on Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, at the Gothenburg university).
Scent, body and experience - 3 examples from our teaching practice
Viveka showed how she works with scent as a bearer of meaning in olfactory art and museum exhibitions. Astrid shared her work with the body as a research tool in art and performance analysis. Helena talked about her students using their senses to explore the unequal city.
A great day for the senses!
